Dr. Kyaw Z. Lin

Kyaw Z. Lin, D.O., is a distinguished board-certified physician with over eight years of expertise in musculoskeletal (MSK) medicine, pain management, and ultrasound education. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the University of California, Davis, and earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences – School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. Dr. Lin further honed his skills through an Internal Medicine internship at the University of San Francisco/Fresno, a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York University and UC Irvine, and an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Pain Fellowship at UC Irvine.


Currently, Dr. Lin serves as the ultrasound lead at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he is an Assistant Professor. His clinical expertise is enriched by training in diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound from both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Anesthesia perspectives. Dr. Lin’s skill set includes advanced interventional pain procedures, MSK ultrasound diagnostics, and electrodiagnostic studies. He is committed to advancing medical education and clinical excellence, as evidenced by his leadership roles and contributions to peer-reviewed literature, workshops, and scientific reviews.


Dr. Lin practices in the Department of Neurology and Pain Medicine at Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center, addressing complex pain and MSK conditions with cutting-edge techniques. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lin is fluent in Burmese and enjoys studying European and Asian history, kayaking, basketball, and marine biology.
